legacies of Arkansas donors.
The Arkansas Donor Family Quilt is a heartfelt way for families to honor their loved ones who
gave the gift of life. Each quilt square tells a personal story, a name, a memory, a symbol of
who they were, stitched together into a collective tribute that travels across the state to
inspire hope and awareness. Southern Legacy of Life invites donor families to create and
submit a square that celebrates the extraordinary generosity of their loved one.
About the Quilt
The Donor Family Quilt is made up of squares
created by families from across Arkansas. Each
square is a visual expression of love, grief, pride, and
remembrance. Collectively, the quilt serves as a
powerful representation of the impact donor families
make in the lives of others.
The quilt is displayed at events, ceremonies, and
community programs throughout the year as a way
to honor donors and share their legacy with others.
Families are welcome to design a square that reflects the personality, passions, or story of their loved one. Quilt squares may include:
You do not need sewing experience. Many families use fabric glue or simple stitching to assemble their design.

Requirements
To ensure squares fit properly into the full quilt, please follow these guidelines:
Finished size: 8 inches x 8 inches
Backing: Please attach your square to a piece of fabric cut to exactly 8×8 inches
Materials: Fabric, photos printed on fabric sheets, appliqués, embroidery, fabric markers, or other non-bulky materials
Avoid: Items that are heavy, fragile, thick, or likely to detach when handled

Include your name, your loved one’s name, contact information, and any notes you would like us to know about the meaning behind your square. Once received, your square will be added to the next completed quilt and displayed at SLL events and remembrance programs.
