Jenny Janisko

Jenny Janisko, DNP, RN, NE-BC, is a distinguished senior nursing leader with more than 20 years of clinical experience. Currently serving as Director of Organ Recovery at Southern Legacy of Life, Arkansas’s largest Organ Procurement Organization, Dr. Janisko oversees all clinical operations, staff development, and strategic initiatives to maximize organ donation and transplantation. Under her leadership, the organization achieved record-breaking donor and transplant numbers, a 174% increase in organs transplanted over two years, and significant improvements in clinical practices and team retention.

Previously, Dr. Janisko was Nursing Director of Critical Care Services at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, where she led a team of 300 across multiple critical care departments. Her tenure was marked by national and international recognition, including the Beacon Award from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the Platinum Award from the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization, and the Sedation Center of Excellence designation by the Society for Pediatric Sedation. She is celebrated for her commitment to patient and family advocacy, staff mentoring, and fostering collaborative relationships among healthcare professionals.

Dr. Janisko holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Administration from Capella University and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Walden University. She is actively involved in professional organizations, research, and community service, and has presented at national conferences on critical care, organ donation, and patient-family engagement. Her leadership, innovation, and dedication continue to advance nursing practice and patient care in Arkansas and beyond.
